2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
So much of our effort is expended in the pursuit of the temporary things of this world. Of course being of this world this is often necessary, but when we compare this time with the time we spend on things above we are most likely ashamed. A friend of ours introduced us to a phrase she likes to use on those things that we make bigger deals than they really are, about these things she would say "that's not a Kingdom issue". We have adopted this as part of our mission in Guatemala, we want our family to be able to focus on those things that are Kingdom issues. We look forward to our days being devoted to things eternal.
