It is not unusual to leave a church service feeling like the speaker was directing his message at you, but I must say Pastor Frey has been right at me for the past nine weeks.
This weeks points hit me right between the eyes.
#1. God will test us by asking us to give up the things that are important to us!
We are letting go of many things including our dog Moses. This has been hard and we haven't even really given him up yet, but have only decided this would be in Moses' best interest.
#2. We can obediently respond to God's call because we are convinced that God will provide.
We could choose to be in fear of our move to Guatemala seeing that we are only at 8% of our monthly commitments, but we have faith in Gods provision.
#3. God will provide for the details of our obedience.
We have been wrestling with many details lately and we need to trust God with these items.
#4. Costly obedience always results in greater blessing.
We are already feeling the blessings as God provides for us.
I am amazed how God has place this sermon series on Pastor Freys heart at this particular time with our life events.
Please pray for our family as we struggle with obedience.
